In his latest coffee table book IKOИEN imagined Anton Corbijn icons in unique and masterful ways. The top photographer and filmmaker is publishing three different series in IKOИEN: Cemeteries, a. somebody and Lenin, USSR.
Cemeteries consists of intriguing black-and-white photographs of gravestones. In a.somebody we see a collection of self-portraits after deceased luminaries from the music world that were photographed in Corbijn's native village of Strijen, both outdoors and in his studio. In addition, Corbijn is showing a previously unpublished series from the early 1980s on Lenin's visual presence in the USSR.
