American photographer Ethan James Green's coffee-table book "Bombshell" explores the spirit of the "bombshell. In popular culture, the bombshell is used to describe a blond, busty woman with sex appeal. Green subverts this tired stereotype and invites a variety of friends to interpret and question the bombshell, using their own clothes and props and posing in any way they feel comfortable.

Ethan James Green is known for his uncompromising black-and-white portraits, capturing the lives of his New York friends. Bombshell is a continuation of this work in which his friends, consisting of artist Connie Fleming, Interview Magazine fashion director Dara Allen, fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and actress Hari Nefo, dressed up as bombshells and performed for Green.
