With breathtaking black-and-white images, Baheux captures the world's most beautiful icy landscapes and the fascinating animals that inhabit them. We get up close to creatures and landscapes that seem to have been taken out of time. Taken in faraway lands such as Norway, Iceland and Canada, Baheux's photographs show polar bears and their cubs, foxes frolicking in the snow and seals navigating through icy waters. While the photographs exude evocative beauty, they also call for action to protect these magnificent icy regions and the creatures that depend on them.

Laurent Baheux is a French wildlife photographer and activist. He is the author of The Family Album of Wild Africa, published by teNeues in 2015. In addition to the awareness inherent in his photographic work, he guides and supports the actions of organizations such as the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) that work to protect nature and preserve biodiversity. His mission is to inspire those who see his work not only to wonder about it, but also to take action.
